Our vision is for every refugee to be welcomed by a local church. If every church welcomed people seeking refuge in their community then we could easily see our vision become a reality! No matter where your church is, there is something that you can do to welcome refugees and asylum seekers into your community.

The MST is an urban social service center that connects and supports people. Professionals and volunteers organize education, encounters and support based on communality and mutual commitment.

Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) is an international Catholic organization with a mission to accompany, serve and advocate for the rights of refugees and others who are forcibly displaced.

The Society of Jesus (Jesuits) founded JRS in 1980 in response to the plight of the Vietnamese boat people. The then-Superior General of the Jesuits, Fr Pedro Arrupe, was deeply moved by their suffering and felt compelled to respond.

The Migrantes Foundation is the body established by the Italian Episcopal Conference to support and assist local Churches in understanding, evangelizing, and providing pastoral care to migrants—both Italians and foreigners. It promotes attitudes and actions of fraternal welcome toward migrants within Christian communities and fosters understanding and appreciation of migrants’ identities within civil society, thus contributing to peaceful coexistence. Additionally, it advocates for the protection of individual and family rights among migrants and encourages their responsible participation as citizens.
