This event aims to explore and understand refugees’ migration stories from religious, spiritual/secular perspectives. To achieve this aim, focus group interviews will be conducted with groups of refugees aged 18+ in Belgrade. This one-day event will be organized with the support of a local NGO called ADRA`s Community Center. ADRA`s Community Center is an organization focusing on refugees and migrants in Belgrade and has already been involved in a number of research with the refugees they have contact with. A cultural mediator for Arabic or Farsi will also join this research group. During the focus group interviews, the participants will be asked how religious, spiritual, or secular narratives affect the processes of migration and adaptation to the new society.
